Our Lesson Program

At Blue Skies Riding Academy we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn to ride in a safe, fun, family-friendly atmosphere. We believe in teaching solid basic skills, ensuring that riders are always fully prepared for the next step. Riders learn gaits, position, control of the horse, finesse, and jumping as they progress. They may also participate in horse shows, equestrian team activities, and field trips. Instructors are certified by the Certified Horsemanship Association, have at least five years experience teaching riding, and are trained in first aid and CPR.

Blue Skies lesson horses are dependable, well schooled, and fun! Horses range from the kindest babysitters for first-time riders up to those who can jump three-foot courses.

Please Note: For the safety of both rider and horse, there is a 250 pound weight limit for individuals wishing to participate in horseback riding activities.

Don't forget...lessons aren't just for kids! We love teaching adults, too!

Group and Private Lessons:

Private lessons a 30 minutes in length. Group lessons are one hour in length and are limited to six students. Students are grouped with riders of similar abilities and may also be grouped by age.

Bi-Weekly Lesson Package:
$80 per month, lessons bi-weekly

Weekly Lesson Package:
$150 per month, lessons once weekly

Twice Weekly Lesson Package:
$250 per month, lessons two times weekly
